Departing for this stop, it wasn’t clear if we’d make it. Not because it was dangerous, but because the water levels were unusually low and the narrow passage for the boats was quite a challenge.
With some manoeuvring we made it. This place was amidst the Big Pan, which is a large wetland area with some lodges built on stilts.
The shallow water also had its unexpected benefit: lots of flamingos! π¦©
(Bonus points if you could spot the eggs on the boat that we’d later be served)
